The Lady Gaels suffered their first two losses of the season, losing a tough meet to Palmer and Mohawk. Mohawk put on one of their most dominant performances in quite some time, capturing six of the top nine spots in the race, but the race between Palmer and Catholic was close throughout. The Lady Gaels received solid efforts once again from each of their top five; Evelyn Powell continues to show she is one of the top runners in the league, finishing 6th overall, and Marissa Lapointe ran a strong race as well. Rose Casavant, Laura J and Vickie finished within seconds of each other once again, and it's clear that Vickie has finally closed the gap on the top four, giving the Lady Gaels a solid top five. The Lady Gaels kept the meet close from start to finish, and were ahead of Palmer 27-28 with less than a mile to go, but home course advantage was a definite factor, as the Palmer girls finished strong to capture the win. Nonetheless, the meet was a good test for the Lady Gaels, who still look to be in great position to make some noise at the Western Mass meet.
